URII

Every language deserves a written word.

Ubandawaki Redemptive Intervention Initiative partners with communities in Niger State, Nigeria, to build orthographies and dictionaries for languages that have never been written down, then carries that work into education, livelihoods, and health.

How We Work

Community-led, from the first conversation.

1

Listen & partner

We enter a community by invitation, and spend time learning the language, needs, and priorities directly from the people who live there.

2

Build together

Working alongside community members, we co-develop a writing system, a dictionary, and locally owned programs, never imposed from outside.

3

Hand over ownership

Tools, training, and leadership pass to the community, so the work continues and grows long after our involvement.

Help write the next chapter.

Every gift and every hour helps a community turn its spoken language into a written one, and its written word into education, income, and health.
